This case teaches us the importance & need of inspection of aircraft various systems at regular interval. the thing which is seen OK from outside may be very unsafe from inside. Safety expert Trevor Kletz (UK) mentions -Greed of the management to keep the aircraft for maximum time has caused many air crashes.
One of things that astounds me is that passengers saw cracks in the fuselage skin while boarding, but said nothing about it.
I am so sorry to hear CB was on that airplane. Many prayers to her family and friends. What a tragedy!
Personally…… I think this is the BRAVEEST woman in the world. I came up on this story watching YouTube. Why planes crash.. and this was one of the episodes that played… It has stuck with me for a few days now. Every night for the past three days I’ve sat out side watching the planes fly through the dark sky.. Not sure how high they are but to amazing being sucked from a plane and dropping 24,000 feet from the sky and plunging into a shark filled ocean…. This woman needs a National Holiday in remembrance of her bravery…
