Attempting to connect a few dots. According to this audio interview of Bob Hall (https://credo.library.umass.edu/view/full/mums911-i005) at about the 22:30 mark, the interviewer claims that Bob Granville witness Hall deadstick his Hellcat in for a landing and immediately demand a tarp with which to cover it.
I can’t find any reference for a location of Crane’s Farm; is it near the Vought-Sikorsky plant, and are the two events, in fact, the same?

Sorry, Eric, I don’t know the answer to either question, but I assume that the farm was nearby.
