Scott Crossfield lived across the street (Arizona Ave) from me when I was growing up in the 50s. I went to school with his son(also Scott) and was wondering if he is still in the Los Angeles area.
Thank you Anita. The reason that Albert Scott Crossfield’s son was also named “Scott” is that it had been a traditional middle name in the family for three generations. (The Crossfields were related to the family of General Winfield Scott.) The famous test pilot’s father was Albert Scott Crossfield, Sr., and his paternal grandfather was Amasa Scott Crossfield.
