In 1978, I worked as a civilian IT contractor for Bell Helicopter in Mehrabad A.B. on the western outskirts of Tehran. I was asked to design and implement a standard costing system for maintenance and repairs to Bell military helos.
I was giver the equivalent status of a major in the USAF. I reported to a ‘full bird’ colonel in the USAF.
